Sorenstam's comment (as you well know) was based on the fact that Wie was out practicing the DAY AFTER pulling out of the Ginn tournament with an alleged severe wrist injury. Wow, she's an amazingly fast healer! Couldn't have had anything to do with the '88 rule' could it? What a complete joke. Yes, in the cycle of sports and life newer players replace older ones. However, given Michelle Wie's pathetic record for the past several years, I'm not sure who she's going to replace besides Anna Kournikova as the most over rated women's sports figure in history.
